On my show this month:
Greetings!
I have awesome new songs from Snooper, Automatic, Sanam, Die Spitz, Volk Soup, The Cords, Upchuck, Mengers, Citric Dummies, Sunset Images, The Bateluers, Laundry Bats, Ivy, and more. There is another new album by Osees, this time a live album of less familiar songs. My fellow Dandelion DJs have been impressed by the new album by Prolapse and I am as well.
Although his music may not be the best fit for Dandelion Radio, I do want to pay my respects to Ace Frehley. He was one of my first rock and roll idols when I was a kid and he was an incredible musician. Rest in peace, Ace.
I try to keep my in-show talking to a minimum to make more room for music, but I do have more to discuss about what I play, so check out my companion show notes over at http://davidondandelion.blogspot.com.
Enjoy the show!

On the show NEXT month:
Greetings!
Don't let the end of the year distract you from all of the great new releases still coming out. As proof, I have great new stuff from Citric Dummies, BB Bomb, Optic Sink, Oruã, Chini.png, Neon Kittens, Gilles Laval, Wiccans, Le Grand Couturier, Haram, The Big Idea, Morwan, Sunflowers, Maraudeur, Piso Franco, Sword II, Sunset Images, and Jim Jarmusch with Anika. I also have a new song by Flux that distinctly references Minor Threat, so be sure to listen to the very end of the show for the surprise connection!
Oh wait, also a new song from an upcoming album by Mandy, Indiana!
I try to keep my in-show talking to a minimum to make more room for music, but I do have more to discuss about what I play, so check out my companion show notes over at http://davidondandelion.blogspot.com.
Enjoy the show!

Biography:
Hello, my name is David Smith. I grew up in Detroit, Michigan, a perfect place to explore a wide variety of music via live shows and record shops. For the past twenty years I’ve been living in the Washington, DC area.

I've been a rabid collector of music all of my life, with a current collection of around 5,000 CDs and pieces of vinyl, plus uncounted numbers of live bootlegs, digital downloads, and cassettes. I've taken advantage of my world travels to buy records and CDs from all over the world, including the time when I bought a Xalam CD in Dakar, Senegal and nearly started a riot.

My aim at Dandelion Radio is to present an interesting and far-reaching collection of music each month, carefully selected and sequenced like that great mix tape you received from a friend all those years ago.
