Andrew Morrison - June 2021
Andy has two shows in Dandelion Radio's June schedule. His regular show features an hour of new music including Andy Bell remixed by Pye Corner Audio, Laura Cantrell, Calibrate The System, Kelly Lee Owens and Tired Cossack. You'll hear another three tracks from Arab Strap's brilliant album 'As Days Get Dark'; an Andy's Old Chestnut from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds; plus a new live recording of a classic song from John Peel favourites Melys.

Elsewhere, in his special Andy's Archives (Andy's first non-Peel Session related Archives for exactly ten years), he marks the 15th anniversary of Dandelion Radio's first ever set of shows streamed out over the Internet. Imagining an alternate reality in which Dandelion Radio started broadcasting a further 15 years before it actually did, Andy will be picking two hours of music that he would have played you had Dandelion Radio been on air from June 1991 right up to its actual launch in June 2006. So, join him - starting from when he would have been just 16 - to hear what he was enjoying back then, including Trembling Blue Stars, Mercury Rev, The Flaming Lips, The Caretaker, My Vitriol, Echoboy, Aphex Twin, Stereolab and loads of other great artists.

Mark Whitby - June 2021
We welcome back a lot of old favourites to the show this month. There's something from the new 93MillionMilesFromTheSun album, an extended helping from the new album by Godspeed You! Black Emperor and the first appearance in some time for Marissa Nadler, who featured heavily in some of my earliest Dandelion Radio shows, fittingly in the month in which we celebrate our 15th anniversary.
We've also got our share of first timers too. There's something from Croatia's Bible Thrower, a track from the cracking Dez Dare album and some dub from Bukkha.
Retrospectively, we Peel back to session tracks featured forty, thirty and twenty years ago this month; there's also something from an excellent Joe Hill Louis anthology and a similarly excellent Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee compilation.

Mark Whitby on FSK - June 2021
Join Mark as he takes us through another two hours of his favourite new music, with brief glances at reissued gems from the past and a general focus on the interesting, the odd and the unfairly overlooked.
Sean Hocking - June 2021
It's another 4 hours from Sean this month featuring the usual selection of something new, something old that we hope you haven't heard before.
In the world of new we have UK based Fimber Bravo former musical director of Skin & Steel working with electronic producers to put a whole new spin on steel drums/pans music. As a kid growing up in the Caribbean, steel drums were my introduction to the world of sound and partying so I've immediately fallen in love with this album.
We also have recently come across left field electronica bod, Proc Fiskal, out of Scotland who makes wonderfully beguiling experimental electronica that at no time goes down the rabbit hole of most electronic experiminta that we hear. If you like people with a sound that is entirely their own we reckon he's up there with the like of Burial and Aphex Twin. He sounds nothing like either but like them stands apart from the pretenders.
We have new LA bands, Grave Bongo Flowers & Hoveriii who straddle the best of Krautrock, west coast sounds and even a bit of prog. It shouldn't work but it does.
In the world of old we revisit LA producer Secret Circuit, the Black Lips (because we can never get bored of them) and, released on metal postcard many moons ago, Krom Monster and their tune Khmer Storm ... one of the most evocative pieces of music we've ever heard about Cambodia.
Also let's not forget our favourite new UK songwriter Ben Edge, also a visual artist who has been studying the ever changing nature of English folk traditions as modernity and now the technological age fully foisted upon us. He's written a truely sublime album about how those traditions and the music associated with dance re-morphs as we move forward. Really a rather wonderful album (his paintings are pretty good too) and contender for our favourite of the year.

Thomas Blatchford - June 2021
Thomas - as has been asserted on the show before - tends to consider nostalgia as a disease, but has gone slightly soft this month in celebrating the 15th anniversary of Dandelion Radio. The last quarter of this episode is given over to tunes that would've been played on The Thomas Show if it existed when the station was founded in 2006. Having been given an immediate audial Proustian rush by Listen With Sarah, talk soon turns to indie discos, hyperactive "IDM" (remember that?) and foul-mouthed children, as well as the vintage of the 2006 Festive Fifty.
Back to now, though, and this month also has K5, a song called KEK, a K9 remix, mention of an artist called K-65, and a huge Keith / Kwame collaboration. OK?
Plus utterly splendid new singles from Bad Bangs, RBI, Nwando Ebizie, Plaster of Paris, Bo Ningen and the like. Music is my boyfriend, and we noticed you from across the bar...
