Andrew Morrison - July 2025
Andy has two hours of tunes this month, including new music from Communions, Melys, The Divided Circle, Andy Bell, Lust For Youth & Croation Amor, Dot Allison, Sally Dige, and The Raveonettes, plus the brilliant recent single from the first album in 24 years by Pulp. There's also a new single hot off the press from Canada's Tired Cossack, who Andy was privileged to share a few beers with last month when they were in the UK.

Andy pays tribute to Nitzer Ebb frontman Douglas McCarthy who we lost in June, by playing a couple of classic tracks he featured on. You'll also hear a rare 2012 vinyl-only Andy's Old Chestnut from much-missed Norwegians Harrys Gym.

Gareth Jones - July 2025
Some might say that Gareth's July show is definitely, maybe, a brave decision. As the Gallaghers play live around the UK, Gareth will be marking the occasion with a selection of Oasis cover versions in the 1st hour. Performed in various genres, it's a wonder wall of sound, ranging from the electro-pop of Kero Kero Bonito to the ska sounds of The Bluebeaters and even a bluegrass cover by Danny Burns.
Then the 2nd hour's guest presenter is Stephen from New Jersey Indiepop band Lightheaded. He'll be taking part in 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue' to coincide with the release of their new album 'Thinking, Dreaming, Scheming!' released by Skep Wax (UK) / Slumberland Records (US).
Plus Gareth pays tribute to the late Brian Wilson with a selection of Beach Boys songs covered by female artists, from Saint Etienne to Shonen Knife. God only knows what Brian would think of it!

Leo Gilbert - July 2025
Leo states loudly and proudly that this month's show is one of his very best, and certainly among his most varied, with well over half the artists being new to him.
He has music from Egypt in the shape of Basis Rahouma, Libya (Cheb Bakr), Sweden's Becky and the Birds, Divide and Dissolve from Australia, Lido Pimienta representing both Colombia and Canada, Ammar 808 from Tunisia, Falle Nioke from Guinea Conakry, Sorekara from Japan, and loads and loads more besides.
It's four hours of wonderfulness. Don't resist.

Not one but TWO featured albums this month. Kinda inevitably for me, one is the Sleaford Mods live album and the other is the OSees influenced LP by CHIME OBLIVION, both albums are proper (to use a Jason Williamson expression!). There is a growing Dandelion DJ contingent from Bristol, and as a homage I open the show with Bristol based duo Getdown Services. I also have missives from Ayerdhal, SAULT, HEHFU!!!!!!, Eternal Moment and Nickynutz amongst many others. Have a good month!

Mark Whitby - July 2025
There's always a danger, in the month of a Half Man Half Biscuit album release that I'll simply put it on repeat and listen to nothing else. Thankfully, the sheer number of great albums around at the moment means there's no danger of that so, in addition to something predictably wonderful from the Biscuits, there are tracks from Earl Sixteen, Tian Qiyi, Stereolab and Herman Dune, among others.
As I've decided by now that the McLusky album is the release against which all else in 2025 must be measured, there's more from that too, and we have new singles from the likes of Zoom Unit and Swansea Sound, plus Darren Hayman trying his hand at a Madonna tune.
As usual, we Peel Back... for a few great tunes from the session archives, which is incidentally where Orbital have unearthed yet another fabulous reissue. We've also got another remix of a Children Of The Bong track and a couple of timely tributes to the majesty of Brian Wilson and Sly Stone.

One Big House - July 2025
The second show, the difficult follow-up after the successful debut, the awkward realisation that this for real. What to do? Let's think.
OK, play Knives now the LP is out, and the Model/Actriz LP is good, play a couple from that. And the "undervalued, underappreciated" band idea went well last time, so play Maria & The Mirrors this month.
What else? There's been some great new singles by Nightswimming, The New Eves, Zee and Dog Race so play them. And catch up on some good ones from a few months ago like Erotic Secrets of Pompeii, Golomb, Autocamper and child3. Lifeguard were excellent in concert so get one of their LP tracks in the show. And play some Humdrum after being excited about seeing them but turns out it was someone else with a similar name. Get some summer sounds in the show too. Go for Roots Syndicate, LLL, Dixie Peach and Sam Goku. Sounds like a good starting point!
It's two hours so equal amounts of fun and doom as well as the trademark poor pronunciation.

Rocker - July 2025
One-hour from Rocker this month, Including new tracks from The Reds, Pinks And Purples; Prolapse; Allo Darlin'; Half Man Half Biscuit; Jeanines; Neil Young And The Chrome Hearts and James McCallum.
There's electronica from Euripides, and Japanese Peel favourites Zeni Geva team up with Swedish metal supergroup Besvärjelsen to cover The Ramones.
This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is a country classic from 1953, while his month's Educating Elizabeth record sees a track recorded in the 1960s finally getting a vinyl release in 2025.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Japanese guitar noise trio Zeni Geva's name translates as 'Money Power'.

Sean Hocking - July 2025
It's 3 hours from Bottom of the Pops this month and as some have been complaining about leftist politics on the station I've made sure that this month's show has a Palestinian freedom song and a track by Kneecap who are turning out to be the best thing to have happened to rock'n'roll since the Sleaford Mods, even if I don't like all their tunes.
There's some acts with great names in this month's show ... Bleak Squad, Dj Die Soon, 3 Electro Knights & Erik Nervous to name a few.
We can't not remember the great Brian Wilson who I was lucky enough to see live soon after he came out of the Landy coma-zone. Once you listen to the tunes again it's not hard to see why they call him a genius and I'm still, after 1000's of listens, obsessed by 1968's "Do It Again" which squeezes as much pathos, yearning, memory and desire into its 2 minutes 19 seconds as a Tolstoy novel.
We've also got new releases by Whitney K, The Conspiracy, Ezra Furman and The Bug amongst others.
This month's particular obsession is Napalm Death teaming up with Thurston Moore to cover The Ramones' "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue". Too good to be true!
Enjoy

X-Ray Moon - July 2025
X-Ray has an hour-long show this month. On his show, as usual, he has predominantly new tracks to play to us with a few, possibly, lesser well known older tunes.
The Lemonheads are back after a long hiatus, with apparently more new material on the way.
A somewhat mysterious and haunting album by ISONA has recently been released. And, SPG One have a new album out called "Telephone Calls from Hyperspace".
From the older offerings there is a beautiful track by NYAYA DZINONETSA from an album that came out in May of this year titled, "Zimbabwe: The modern sound of Harare' Townships 1975 – 1980".
X-Ray Moon hopes everyone has and is having a fabulous July and he hopes everyone enjoys the show.
