Calum Carlyle - October 2022
It's a slightly acidic show from off the beaten track this October, Paul Flaherty and Zach Rowden are Under The Tough Acid and The Gluts want to Eat Acid See God. There's even a Cocaine Cowboy on the show, by the name of Terry Allen.
As usual there are songs from far flung places such as DR Congo (Kanda Bongo Man), Japan (Kikagaku Moyo), California (Mark Rodney) and Brooklyn (Diiv) as well as many other delights, including old and new tracks from sunny Scotland (Ur.Frnd, Ali Sha Sha and Khaya).
Tune in and keep yourself warm against the chilly winds by moving to the groove of these swinging sounds!

David Smith - October 2022
Sea Moss has a new album coming out later this year, and I am confident that even with just one song in prerelease this album will be one of my favorite records of the year. The new album by Fret already is one of my favorites of the year so far. Wow.
I have lots of new stuff, including tracks from Hooveriii, The Prize, Lykho, Reuben Hudson, Faience Knife, Nürnberg, Loobs, Closure, and Datasal. We also have a new volume of live in studio sessions from KEXP, and an upcoming album from Hammered Hulls.
Maybe next year I will do a theme show, but I did include Lou Reed singing about Halloween (sort of) and Sea Moss singing about candy, so at least the basics are covered.
Enjoy the show!

Leo Gilbert - October 2022
Leo has two shows this month.
In one he has gathered tunes from the most far-flung corners of the globe.
If you have listened to his shows over the past couple of months, you will by now know the name of mugger, punk rockers from Austin, Texas, and they feature again this month, along with Avalanche Kaito and Volta Jazz from Burkina Faso, NASTYJOE from France, the Cambodian Space Project from (you guessed it!) Cambodia, Noori & His Dorpa Band from Sudan and many other bands to entice you in.
He also has new music from Gilla Band, Jockstrap and Sarahsson, along with a track from what is possibly his favourite album of the month by Valentina Berthelon.
For the other show there is a brand-new tune by Melt-Banana, their first in absolutely ages.
Besides this virtually unbeatable show starter, Leo has tunes selected just for you from names such as Sir Robert Orange Peel chronicling the shocking state of World Cup football in the 1962, Dry Cleaning with sung vocals (shock!), show favourites Sprints, the enigmatic Chloé (Thévenin), Dialect, Panda Bear & Sonic Boom and possibly the most intriguing tune he has ever played on Dandelion by Atom™.
There are also new tunes from Sweet Juice, KH, Hagop Tchaparian, Clt Drp and Billy Nomates.
And, believe it or not, a whole lot more. Unmissable? Correct!

Mark Whitby - October 2022
Gradually darkening nights here in this bit of the Northern Hemisphere haven't diminished the number or intensity of the shafts of brilliant light 2022's music continues (metaphorically) to send in our direction.
They're very much in evidence here, with tracks from new or recent albums from The Beths, Osees and For Example John, among others.
There's also yet another album of VX collaborations with Pete Hope, a new track from Dysphemic, a belting new Novoton EP from Sad Bliss and new singles from The Black Dog and Mandrake Handshake.
Let the gloom recede, at least for a couple of hours.

Mark Whitby on FSK - October 2022
Join Mark as he takes us through another two hours of his favourite new music, with brief glances at reissued gems from the past and a general focus on the interesting, the odd and the unfairly overlooked.
Pete Jackson - October 2022
After a few months off Pete is back with a bunch of tunes encountered during his time away. There's the return of some firm favourites, with new releases from Goat, Kode9, Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, XAM Duo and Black Midi, alongside some new acts with names that are a challenge to read out on the radio, like ::nepaal and L0re L0re L0re.
There's home-made instruments in the music of Noori And His Dorpa Band, Kosmiche Tropicale from Wet Satin and experimental mind muck courtesy of Howlround. All of this is topped off with a Vangelis-esque celebration of Warrington's premier shopping centre thanks to the work of Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan.

As we mark 18 years since the sudden passing of John Peel, his enduring legacy to music continues. This month's show features a bunch of new tracks from artists who have previously contributed to John Peel sessions - The Wedding Present; The Nightingales; Helen McCookerybook (as The Chefs; Helen & The Horns); David Lance Callahan (as The Wolfhounds; Moonshake); JD Meatyard (as Levellers 5; Calvin Party); Karen (as The Brilliant Corners; Experimental Pop Band; The Heads); Useless Users (as Even As We Speak; and Arrest! Charlie Tipper (As Beatnik Filmstars; The Flatmates). Apologies to anyone I've missed!
There's also electronica from Booka Shade; Sonikku; and an amazing new reworking of a 1993 techno classic by Metal Master.
This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is a 1957 release out of Memphis, Tennessee, which features the king of Rockabilly in country mood, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a current release on the Daptone record label.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Paul McCartney once said "If there were no Carl Perkins, there would be no Beatles."

Sean Hocking - October 2022
I'm back with another 2 hours of Bottom of the Pops on Dandelion. First up a newbie on Metal Postcard records for those of you in a love/hate relationship with Jime, the west is the best Morrison. Gauche & Gaudy mash up the doors with a few extra comments thrown in from other voices you may or may not recognize. The Black Lips have a new album on the way and that always makes me happy, I'm hoping the rest of the album sounds as good as lead single, No Rave.
The new music that I'm really excited about this month is what's coming out of Lagos and reportedly recorded in the main in Fela Kuti's old studios. If you like the Gqom sound out of Durban and releases on on Uganda's Ngeye Ngeye label you'll love the likes of DJ YK Mule, simple, fun and slightly bonkers. I love it and can't waity to find you more new producers from Lagos.
Also this month we've got a new album from The Bordellos, London's Coby Sey releases his debut, Ezra Furman, The Gentle Sinners (Aiden Moffat) and San Francisco outfit Orchestra Gold.
All of this and plenty more.
Thanks for listening

Thomas Blatchford - October 2022
This month's Thomas extravaganza begins with a very persistent earworm that's re-emerged in the recent past, and with complete coincidence to current events there's a couple of kings featured too, one from Brother May and another from A.B. Original.
Apart from ONO - whose self-released cassette from 1982 is about to be reissued - and some self-described "driftwood" from Maxine Funke, the rest of the show is full of new shiny beauties from the likes of Estella Boersma, Shove, Tooth Rust and Plea Unit.
Please be aware that this show contains strong language.

Trev - October 2022
I have appeared from under the rock from where I've been hiding for the last 2 and a bit years. Sadly it was hearing the news of Steven Smith's (of the bands Scul Hazzards, If So Why and Leaching) untimely passing got me back in the Dandelion Radio saddle.
I came across Steven when I was promoting shows in London under the 'Dead Billy' moniker as I put on his then recently relocated band (from Australia) in Kilburn in London in 2009 or 2010. They were brilliant. We kept tabs on each other on Facebook thereafter (as is the modern way) and it was via Facebook I learnt that Steven had died, suddenly in September.
So the show was cobbled together in a way of tribute with songs from his bands Scul Hazzards, If So Why and Leaching. A couple of tunes from artists that he produced or engineered their recordings, Fire By The River and Slow Down.
And I did find room for 3 songs from other acts - so that's tunes from former Odd Box alumni David Lance Callahan, Dragon Welding (both solo projects from members of The Wolfhounds) and a cracking new song from the forthcoming third LP from The Humms.
Rest easy, Steven.
