Andrew Morrison - April 2023
Andy has an hour of music in his April show that is mostly brand new - and partially a little bit older. You'll hear selections from the latest releases by Black Honey, Mark Peters, Depeche Mode, Kid Scaramouche, Legss and Slap Rash. I play recently reissued tracks from New Order and Epic45, plus I feature no less than three artists from my hometown of Portsmouth, including an Andy's Old Chestnut from Autons.

Brownbutter - April 2023
Brownbutter is chillin' in the meadow with Flower and Thumper and a Bluetooth speaker, sniffing honeysuckle and vibing hard and giggly on new music from Matching Outfits, The Veils, Smoat, Big Brave, Jack Dangers, Lankum and more on his 3-hour April show.
If you see him in the meadow, I bet you're wearing matching outfits. Weird recognizes weird, yo.

David Smith - April 2023
Greetings! This month I have new songs from Of Tropique, Golden Hours, Delivery, Generador, En Attendant Ana, Speech odd, Trupa Trupa, Errorr, Gee Tee, and Chime School. I also have something from a new collection of covers by The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs, a hot reissue of Tolerance, and an upcoming release by The Toads. We have The Varukers covering Discharge (note to the world: if you cover a Discharge song, you better get it right) and a memorial tribute to Bert Gordon, the king of old black and white monster movies!
Enjoy the show!

Gareth Jones - April 2023
Gareth marks the annual April event Record Store Day (this year happening on Saturday 22nd) with a bunch of songs written specifically for the occasion, including Mozart Estate and Art Brut. You won't need to queue up outside in the cold at 8am to hear them!
There are also plenty of new releases including two cuts from a new Raving Pop Blast! Recordings compilation and the return of Fuzzbox as you've never heard them before!
Then the 2nd hour contains an all-female playlist, plus the guest presenters for 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue' are Basic Bitches, a New York Riot Grrrl duo who release their new album 'It Doesn't Matter If It's Cool' on 7th April.

Leo Gilbert - April 2023
Another huge swagbag of music from Leo for April - and again a show that a source close to Leo describes as "one of his best ever shows".
Four hours of tunes from familiar favourites such as Sleaford Mods, Belle and Sebastian, Billy Nomates and James Holden, as well as newer names like Nuha Ruby Ra, Roger Damawuzan, Cru Servers and Evelyn Palace.
Leo also obsesses over the new album by Irish band First Class and Coach. Listen in and you will soon know why.

Mark Cunliffe - April 2023
***Well, I didn't think I would have to be making a such a sad addition to my synopsis after pre-recording my show and doing all the paperwork. I found out the news of Costa Titch's passing after I had recorded my April show and included a track by him in it. So sad, only 28 and with a great future in music before him. A great loss, my thoughts and sympathies with his family, friends and fans around the world.***
In amongst the chaos of the world and all that's kicking off in my native UK, music remains an escape and there is no let up on the quality available. The is a new artist on the block to me on Oak City Slums that has an unbelievable work ethic and ability to make footwork to match. Snow Ghosts have a new album out and it is as good as you'd expect it to be. There is something new from Sons Of Mu and Ben, who is part of Sons Of Mu, also makes an appearance with one of his solo projects, RHYTHM and P.I.E.C.E.S. deffyme has an album out whose sole purpose is to raise money for an MS charity and I'm playing a track off that. There is also more filth from Sumgii and musical filth is always welcome here.

Mark Whitby - April 2023
Mark Whitby is struggling to decide whether his favourite album so far in 2023 is from Nac/Hut Report or Shame. Apart from the unseemly amount of time he spends exercising his own mind with this, it's hardly significant as there's plenty of room in his show for both, along with many other of the best the year has had to offer so far, including Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Neon Kittens, Orbital and Deerhoof, among others.
The featured compilation this month comes from the Kalita, with some fine recordings from West Africa; there's another new track from The Sinatra Test, a reissue from Horace Andy and a single from Zoom Unit scattered across the show, plus something new from Stefan Dowsing an artist who last appeared in these shows more over 15 years ago.

Mark Whitby on FSK - April 2023
Join Mark as he takes us through another two hours of his favourite new music, with brief glances at reissued gems from the past and a general focus on the interesting, the odd and the unfairly overlooked.
Rocker - April 2023
A two hour show from Rocker this month, including new tracks from Robb Johnson; Lonely Tourist; Jeremy Gluck and Paul Hazel; The Room; Blue Aeroplanes; The Vaxtones; Panic Pocket; Microwave Wankers; Shit Present; House Of All; The Reds, Pinks And Purples; Benefits; and Beau.
This month's featured album is the Lower Than Underground volume 1 compilation, featuring cover versions by artists including Milky Wimpshake; The X-Teens; The Frenchmen; and The Drain On The Balcony. Elsewhere Phoenix City All-Stars take on Aretha Franklin[/artist]; and Easy Star Allstars continue their tribute to David Bowie.
There's electronica from Marcel Dettman; James Holden; Ron Flatter; and four Tet remixes a new track by Everything But The Girl.
This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is a 1956 release from the Sun Recording Company out of Memphis, Tennessee.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Sam Phillips, founder of the Sun Record Company, also founded the USA's first all-female radio station, WHER, in 1955.

Sean Hocking - April 2023
Another 4 hours this month from Bottom of the Pops as the tsunami of new releases just keeps rolling in.
So much so that I haven't even been able to keep you up to date with all the new metal postcard releases. Then again, some of you may be relieved about that.
That said we do start the show with the politely titled, "Fucking Your Neighbour's Wife" by the Neon Kittens!
In terms of already established artists I'm enjoying new tracks by Steve Mason (is it true there's rumours of the Beta Band getting together again?), Portugal The Man (regular listeners will know that I'm a bit of a PTM tragic) and Little Simz who just gets better and better.
My favourite debut of March has to be Sydney based Itchy & The Nits. Great name, great sound and fantastically fun lyrics.
Also down in Melbourne we hear from new outfit on Chapter Records, The Toads. Their Fall like take on living in a Nationals (think country Tories who dress like Aussie farmers but are actually all right wing accountants) seat in rural Vic has me listening.
We also have MJ Lenderman, sounding like Neil Young circa 76/77, a new one from Craven Faults, east London artist Nuha Ruby Ra and I'm really enjoying Italian producer Upupayama who's using spaced out Japanese psych as his template, so, if like me you are still in the depths of depression after learning that Kikagaku Moyo have called it a day, this ep will cheer you up.
Lots lots more in the 4 hours but I don't want to give it all away.

X-Ray Moon - April 2023
This month's programme has a mix of old and new… Virtually all of the older tracks have been chosen in memory of the untimely death of one of our (or at least my) heroes.
Whether that be the bonkersly premature demise of Terry Hall from The Specials, hence the track Gangsters; or whether that's Television's Marquee Moon in honour of Tom Verlaine.
Also, we have for the listener lots of newish tracks… The sounds of North Africa from Ghoula, and a pair from Nice, France who remind us, or at least wet our appetites, for steamy southern French city nights.
A few staples as well - new tracks from Kurt Vile, Sleaford Mods, and a track called Harlequin Duke from a group made up of ex-members of The Fall called HOUSE of ALL.
And, as they say, so much more in this two hour extravaganza of (without putting too fine a point on it) bad-arsed grooviness.
Cheers… hope you all enjoy the show.
