Andy has an hour of music in his April show that is mostly brand new - and partially a little bit older. You'll hear selections from the latest releases by Black Honey, Mark Peters, Depeche Mode, Kid Scaramouche, Legss and Slap Rash. This month's programme has a mix of old and new… Virtually all of the older tracks have been chosen in memory of the untimely death of one of our (or at least my) heroes.
Whether that be the bonkersly premature demise of Terry Hall from The Specials, hence the track Gangsters; or whether that's Television's Marquee Moon in honour of Tom Verlaine.
Also, we have for the listener lots of newish tracks… The sounds of North Africa from Ghoula, and a pair from Nice, France who remind us, or at least wet our appetites, for steamy southern French city nights.
A few staples as well - new tracks from Kurt Vile, Sleaford Mods, and a track called Harlequin Duke from a group made up of ex-members of The Fall called HOUSE of ALL.
And, as they say, so much more in this two hour extravaganza of (without putting too fine a point on it) bad-arsed grooviness.
