White Ring is an American witch house / dark electronic project formed in 2009 in New York by Bryan Kurkimilis and Kendra Malia. Their early work, including the influential 2011 EP Black Earth That Made Me, helped define the witch house sound with distorted beats, spectral atmospheres and haunting vocals.
In 2016, vocalist Adina Viarengo joined the project, adding a new dimension to their live shows and recordings. Their long-awaited debut album Gate of Grief was released in 2018, followed by the mixtape *Chaind Vol. 2 (Flooded)* in 2019.
Tragically, Kendra Malia passed away in October 2019 at the age of 37. Despite this loss, White Ring continued creating music, releasing the album Show Me Heaven in 2021. In 2024, the group announced a new trilogy beginning with Angel 13 Volume 1, preceded by the single Final Fantasy.
White Ring’s music blends elements of industrial, trap, grunge, post-punk, and ethereal electronics, exploring themes of trauma, loss, and transcendence. They remain a cult name within the witch house movement, influencing a new generation of dark electronic artists.
