Vile Vile Creatures

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Vile Vile Creatures are an all female three-piece from Manchester and Leeds who have satin beats and velvet rhythms...and sound like a doll's house falling down the stairs.

Formed in 2006, the band debuted at Cardiff's Ladyfest in July of that year. The line-up consists of Jenny - lead vox/ six strings, Sian - four strings/backing vox and Julia - sticks/backing vox.

Vile Vile Creatures play in dusty basements and can usually be found in dark venues with sticky floors. they play loud music - fast...

Last year, the band played Ladyfest Manchester where they opened for the Slits. They have also supported Fight Like Apes, The Raincoats, Shrag and Jenny Hoyston. The band have been persuaded to get on a plane to both Berlin and Dublin and play some shows. Last year they went on a tour with London/Portsmouth based Sad Shields.

The band have been featured on Artrocker Magazine's compilation album 'Artrocker Unsigned Vol 3', Huw Stephens' 'Best of Unsigned' podcast and have played a live set for Marc Riley's Brain Surgery on BBC 6 Music. They have some new tracks that have just been recorded in Leeds and will be available shortly.
