Powered by Audioscrobbler™Toffeetronic is the brainchild of English musician Matt Gunn.

Matt began his musical journey in the late 80’s in sunny Doncaster where he and his brother would experiment with reel to reel tape loops, Casio keyboards and guitar pedals. Most of their equipment was picked up at boot sales for under a pound and yet they made some pretty ‘out there’ & cool stuff (especially for a couple of school kids!). Fast forward past ‘O’ levels/’A’ levels and after a playing in several bands, moving to the south and realising a natural affinity with the bass guitar Matt joined a young psychedelic rock band that quickly caught the attention of a major record label and a management company. The label paid for them to record a demo in a top London studio and gigs were aplenty playing all over the UK. After three years of gigging and recording the band split up and Matt had to look for something else. After more gigs with many different bands Matt ends up pursuing (successfully) a career in IT alongside doing music. Here he learnt different programming languages and technologies which kick started his interest back into electronic music. The new ‘techno’ Matt was back to where he first began his musical journey – totally electronic! Matt’s musical output quickly spiralled out of control and hasn’t really stopped since. With some help from his friends and a tight focus on exactly what he wants Matt has delivered Toffeetronic; a blatant and proud electronic outfit that has great songs, a real face, a solid live presence and has a whole lot of fun.
