
Taking their DIY recording philosophy from Joe Meek and musical influences from the likes of Screaming Lord Sutch, Roky Erickson, The Flaming Lips, The Moontrekkers and The Bonzos, The Blue Giant Zeta Puppies began peddling their chaotic brand of Psychedelia tinged, Echo smothered, Alt-Surf-Rock in early 2010.
Brainchild of songwriter/producer BG, the 'Puppies were planned as a band with a variable line up, with members depending on whoever "...Happened to be passing...".
Last year, listeners of UK based internet radio station Dandelion Radio voted The 'Puppies instrumental track "The Wild Ride of Ichabod Crane" into the "Festive 50" (a top 50 of the years new releases) at number 22

Their instrumental "Mad Love" is included in "Way Out From The Hideout - The Best of The Garage Punk Hideout- Vol.4", on GRGPNK records, released July 18th 2011.
"Light of The Moon" is included in the compilation "No Way Out - Vol 2" on Dead By Mono Records.
They also have track ("Ah Om Oh Yay (She Said)") included in the "Trip Inside This House - Summer Solstice -Volume V" compilation, compiled by DJ, Valis Hertel, of KDHX's "Trip Inside This House" radio show.
"The Wild Ride of Ichabod Crane" (which listeners to Dandelion Radio voted one of the fifty best new releases of 2012) is included in "The Best of The GaragePunk Hideout Volume 9 - Garage Monsters", on GRGPNK records, released October 1st 2012.
At the time of writing (Spring 2013), they are currently recording new material with a single due in the summer and a crowd funded vinyl album planned for later in the year......
