Powered by Audioscrobbler™Suzannah (Suzie) Johannes grew up in a Kansas farm town called Hiawatha and came to Lawrence for the Industrial Design Program at Kansas University. Making the rounds of the Lawrence music scene, she would pick up the guitar on occasion and mesmerize everyone with Leonard Cohen and Rolling Stones covers. Last Fall she won the "Farmer's Ball", the famous battle-of-the-bands put on by the radio station KJHK. With her winnings, she hit the studio for a few snowy sessions over the Winter, recording a mix of originals, covers and a four-song collaboration with her friend Hanz Bronz that marks her debut: the Suzannah Johannes EP.
