Pill

Powered by Audioscrobbler™There are at least two different artists called Pill.

1. a post-punk band from Brooklyn, NY, United States
2. a rapper from Atlanta, Georgia, United States

1. The four members of Brooklyn post-punk outfit Pill — vocalist/bassist Veronica Torres, drummer Andrew Spaulding, saxophonist Benjamin Jaffe, and guitarist Jon Campolo —exchanged sounds before they exchanged words. Jaffe walked into their very first practice session in 2014 playing saxophone, prompting Campolo to respond on guitar.

Since their début release (2015's Pill EP) they have released two full-length studio albums, Convenience (2016) and Soft Hell (2018), plus a compilation of their early material for the Dull Tools label (The Dull Tools Tapes, 2018).

Pill's music has been described as a "heady mix of noise rock, free jazz, no wave and punk."

2. Tyrone Rivers, better known by his stage name Pill, is an American rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. In early 2009, Pill's first mixtape 4180: The Prescription) and his first single 'Trap Goin' Ham' were released. He also appeared on Killer Mike's Underground Atlanta compilation, on the tracks 'Bunkin'' and 'Grind Time.' Pill's second mixtape 4075: The Refill can out in the same year and, still before the end of 2012, a third mixtape dropped: 1140: The Overdose. 2012 also saw the release of his début album proper: The Diagnosis.

After a surprising six-year hiatus, Pill released a long overdue single, 'Back Right', in early 2018, produced by 808 Mafia.
