Powered by Audioscrobbler™Peter Van Hoesen has been active as electronic musician and audiovisual artist since 1998. His work involves composition for installations, live performances, research into interactive sensor-based systems and straight-up dj'ing. Equally at home in an arts centre as well as a packed dancefloor, he produces and performs under his own name as well as under the monikers of Object and Vanno. He collaborates with other artists in projects such as Bent Object, The Ghost In The Apartment and RM. He is a founding member of Brussels-based Foton collective. Peter's music was released on different labels such as Foton, Lan Muzic, Sub Rosa, Sound of Habib, Backroom and Brehmstralung.

Research into extreme frequencies, the notion of sound as a spatial idea and the concept of 'in between' events are recurrent themes in Peter Van Hoesen's work. He lives and works in Brussels, Belgium.
