Metaman

Metaman
Image from Discogs
Powered by Audioscrobbler™Metaman is the name used by visual artist, Paul Shorrock, born in Lancashire, UK in 1962, for his sound collages. Shorrock has dabbled in a dilletante way with music since his art school days, joining a variety of bands as bassist or additional percussionist, including Bamboo Zoo, who had a John Peel session in 1980, Diversen, fronted by Design guru Wayne Hemingway, Chimera Unit, alongside now legendary Balearic/House DJ Dave Piccioni. Not much survives of these early recordings apart from a few dusty C60 cassettes.
For the BigMan track Shorrock has collaged together found clips and loops in a way not dissimilar to his Photoshop montages. BigMan is available as a free download.
