Little Albert is a Northern Ontario based Progressive Electronica collective. Drawing on a variety of diverse musical backgrounds the group focuses primarily on free-style, free-form non-rehearsed music. No two songs must ever sound the same, neither can a song ever be repeated. Little Albert creates musical paintings that can be no more reproduced than a painter can reproduce a masterpiece.
Placing Little Albert into a specific genre is a difficult task as they bring new meaning to the term experimental. Combining an eclectic range of influences, funky beats and many layers of noise, Little Albert has taken many liberties with the traditional musical process. Combined with their visually stimulating and crowd interactive live performances, it makes for a very different brand of live show.
Instruments used by Little Albert include Bass, Noise Guitar, Moog, Kaoss Pad, Keyboards, Theremin, Saxophone, Drum Machines, Cowbell, Various Percussion in addition to a plethora of Effects Pedals. These forces come together, along with Little Albert's "Revolving Door" Policy (anyone is free to come and play with them, as long as they leave) leads to a great deal of variety and creativity in tracks (in addition to some absolute garbage).
In early 2008 Little Albert released it's first album "Fit" containing a collection of their 2007 works. New collaborations are in the works.
