Eric Weissinger and L E Kippner formed a rock band called Hitchcock Blondes in Ohio, but left to try new ideas as I Am a Rocketship. In 2016 they released an album, Mission Control. Encouraged by the response, they followed with Mind Grafitti in 2019 and 2020's Ghost Stories LP and oRAnGE EP. In 2021 the duo released Lies and Legends, followed in 2023 by La Cruella.
