An independent recording artist from London, Hormone has been producing ethnic influenced tribal dance electronica since the early-1990s, focusing away from commercial releases to concentrate instead on showcasing own sounds alongside his DJ sets at free underground techno parties around europe.
In 1996, one of the more uplifting Cyberchamber Records trance tunes 'Prophecy of Survival' written and produced by Hormone and WaveOne, has been released on the critically acclaimed 'Dance Mutiny' compilation on BMG Ariola/N.E.W.S. records, alongside Moby, Björk, The Shamen, Dance2Trance (DJ Dag), Joi, Cosmic Baby, CJ Bolland and Dave Angel, to help fund the Centrepoint drug rehabilitation programmes.
The latest remix album released in 2007 on Cyberchamber Records, a cross-genre collection of ethnic inspired psytrance, uplifting club anthems, hard-edged breaks and drum'n'bass, is a long awaited follow-up to that event, this time with the aim of raising money for Survival International, a charity which helps the world's tribal peoples to defend their lives, their ancestral lands and to determine their own futures.
