1) Having tinkered in lo-fi vocal experiments and bedroom recordings in his hometown Toronto as a teenager, Lavern Lee (Guerre) moved to Sydney and with that move began creating a genre-bending form of slow-burning sweet soul music (dubbed neo-soul) filled with layers of delicately interwoven vocal melodies and accompanied with atmospheric, understated electronica.

2) guerre is the music of piano/keyboard session musician Martin Evans who has recorded with the likes of Gianna Nannini (album: Scandalo), Shelleyan Orphan (albums: Helleborine, Century Flower, Humroot), Stephan Eicher (album: My Place), as well as Poems for Laila and numerous other artists/musicians.

musically guerre embraces mainly freestyle, piano & synth-based forms, but also ventures into deep house, trance and dance genres. structures are simple in form, yet rich with motives, estranged melodies, contrapuntal rhythms and effusive harmonies, creating a sense of urgency and passion - a satisfying, emotion-evoking audio experience.

"A note of music gains significance from the silence on either side" Anne Morrow Lindbergh

3. Beatdown/Hardcore/Quebec City, Québec
