Georgia Maq Image from Discogs Georgia Maq (born Georgia MacDonald) is an Australian singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Victoria. Macdonald began performing in public around 2006, eventually gaining a following amongst the Melbourne music community and performing with the likes of Jamie Hay, Wil Wagner, Lucy Wilson and Kissing Booth. Her father was Hugh MacDonald, an Australian musician best known for his time in Redgum who also owned his own studio in which Maq recorded her own material. Her debut release was an EP entitled Friends and Bowler's Run, released independently in 2013. It was followed by four-track seven-inch, With a Q, in June 2014 via Jackknife Records. March 2015 saw the release of a split seven-inch with Newcastle singer-songwriter Spencer Scott via Lost Boy Records. Also in 2015, Maq formed the band Camp Cope; officially retiring from solo performing in 2016. Read more on Last.fm.
