Gabrielles Wish

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Formed in Droylsden, Manchester in 1993, Gabrielles Wish went through various line up changes before cementing the classic line up of Rob Corless (Vocals), Nick Harris (Drums), Paul Ryan (Guitar), Darren Moran (Bass), and David Peplow deploying sound effects. The band went on to support THE FALL and gained the attention of NEW ORDERS manager Rob Gretton, who signed Gabrielles Wish to his own 'Manchester Records' label. Recording sessions were overseen by Chris Nagle producing, resulting in the double A-Side sinlge 'Marooned/Warmonger'. The single was swiftly followed by the 'Golded Up' EP. In 1997 the band recorded the only recently available 'Processed' album. Gabrielles Wish then supported NEW ORDER at their july 1998 comeback gig. The following year manager Rob Gretton sadly passed away. Shortly after, the band changed drummers, bringing in Bo Walsh (younger brother of guitarist Timmy Walsh of FACTORY band NORTHSIDE). In 1999 the band brought out the 'Manchester Suite' EP, which veered strongly toward Electronica in sound, mainly due to drummer Bo Walsh being on tour with TRAVIS during the recording sessions. At this time Jeff Grainger became the bands new manager. The 'Cost One' EP followed on the bands own label 'Path'. The stunning album 'Portal' emerged in 2003 before the band took a brief hiatus. Gabrielles Wish regrouped in 2004, playing a secret gig with new member Karen Leatham on Keyboards. The 'Here from the neck down' EP was then released. In 2006 the band brought out the brilliant studio album 'Reformer' (out now on the Small Adjustments label), supported by some blistering live shows up and down the country. 2006 also saw the release of their most eclectic EP yet, 'Martyrs Come Hang Your Signs'. This summer the band brought out the single 'Cunning Stunt's' to rave reviews, and supported its release with a brief, but jaw dropping tour. The bands latest single, 'A to Z' has recieved constant airplay and has been hailed as the bands finest single to date. Both of these singles are taken from the forth-coming album, 'CIRCA' out October 29th 2007. For more tour, album and other info, please visit www.gabrielleswish.com.
