Powered by Audioscrobbler™Frank Bennett (born David Wray in 1959 in Sydney, Australia, ) is an Australian jazz singer whose stage name is formed from Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett. His vocal style is clearly influenced by these two singers and the music of the 1940s and 1950s, and he is known for his big band renditions of rock and pop singles, including "Creep" by Radiohead, "Better Man" by Pearl Jam, and "Under the Bridge" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Bennett's following is largest in Australia, especially in his hometown of Sydney. He has performed for four Australian Prime Ministers, as well as the mayors of Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth; in 1997, Bennett played at the official opening of the Showroom at Sydney's Star City Casino with Tom Jones, and in 1998 he opened for Burt Bacharach on his Australian tour. He also performs as a saxophonist under his real name, Dave Wray.
