Factory Acts

Factory Acts

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Factory Acts are a Salford based post-punk dark-electro duo. They exist at the edge of the analogue-digital divide, sometimes dreaming, always dancing. Cork at heart. They are SoS (aka Susan) on vocals, synths and an assortment of squelching electro-gadgets, and MD (aka Matt), the drum and bass section.

Factory Acts was born following the accidental creation of a new sound, and a hastily written two song instrumental debut at Salford Lads Club. They hit the gig circuit in Manchester on Easter Sunday 2012 with their first full set followed by a headline slot for their second ever gig for Umbrella Music in Manchester. Since then Factory Acts have made impressive waves on the local gig scene including playing the Salford Music festival in September 2012 and headlining the ‘Pussy-Whipped’ festival in Edinburgh the same month. Factory Acts work hard to support local and touring musicians and have played in support slots with bands like Severin, Strangers, GHXST, Humaniser and Ste McCabe to name a few.

The band have two self-released singles; Fantasy and Senseless. Both songs have received repeated airplay on BBC Introducing Manchester, Amazing Radio and Salford City Radio, as well as on Ireland’s 2FM and on many international internet radio stations.
