Artist Info

Diary

Data provided by DiscogsA UK-based post-punk group containing members of 46,000 Fibres, and featuring vocalist/lyricist/poet [a1358874]. Leading up to the formation of Diary, Tonal D. was backing Fluxus poet John Plant on synthesisers playing London art venues. They together with another synth player, John Parkes, produced a cassette album Stories for MTB. Tonal changed to Tony Bravado (the drummer) & then decided on a band format & bought in colleague from 46,000 Fibres guitar player Nick Rowan who invited bassist Tomoko Yamashita who was with this group for their first two albums. They then became a five-piece group for their third album. Tony switched to guitar for 3rd album & his mate from Wayward Sunns, Richard Clarke, came in on bass. Miranda Foot became the new drummer. Another change saw Tony switch to bass & A-Soma came in to play guitar. In the final phase just Tony & Nick on guitars backed John with guest drummers. They lasted from 1996 to 2007.
