Rushawn Satchell aka DJ REIGN was born on June 2 1992 to proud parents Raphael and Icema Satchell at the University Hospital of the West Indies, Kingston Jamaica. He grew up on White Hall Avenue and attended Swallowfield Primary and Junior High School and St Joseph’s High School. Despite efforts by his parents to keep him out of trouble, at the age of thirteen (13) he got
involved with gangs; smoking, fighting and frequently skipping school. He would skip school in order to go by the sea side (in Downtown Kingston) where he would smoke and as a result made regular visits to the police station.

At the age of fifteen (15) he was invited to church and consequently gave his life to the Lord Jesus. However, due to a lack of fellowship and mentoring, he soon lost direction and resorted to his old ways. At sixteen (16) he started to have a lot of nightmares which made him afraid to sleep especially without some lights on. He would at times see himself sleeping and other times he would be in his bedroom and suddenly become extremely dizzy, the room would get very dark, his heart would race and slow consistently as he heard the roar of a lion and the sound of a speeding truck approaching him.. In short these things caused him to be filled with fear.

He recommitted his life to the Lord at seventeen (17) .. DJ REIGN RECORDED HIS FIRST SINGLE ( NO BADA THAN GOD) AT MC DOVE MUSIC PRODUCTION /JAY CRAZIE MUSIC (AT THE AGE OF 18) AND HIS SECOND SINGLE ALIVE FEAT BRONZEH FROM KENYA BGV KADEEM AT THE AGE OF 19

Dj REIGN has performed at several places including Busy Bees Nursery Christmas dinner/concert and youth concerts for Christian Life Fellowship ,Hope Fellowship and perform on a concert in Spanish town called ( lead the youth them to Christ) let love rain CONCERT IN ST THOMAS , holy ghost party( IN HALF WAY TREE) AND COUPLE YOUTH CONCERT IN ST CATHERINE
