Comanechi

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Comanechi are an ear splittingly loud punk rock band formed in Hackney London by Akiko ‘Keex ‘ Matsuura (The Big Pink, Pre) and Simon Petrovitch. They’ve been thrashing the London club scene since the late 2000s.

Releasing a slew of 7”s on indie labels Merok and White Heat, and appearing on Rough Trade’s Counter Culture, set the stage for their debut album Crime of Love (Merok) to be released to universal critical acclaim in early 2010.

Last summer then saw Comanechi play festivals around the world (inc. Primavera, Offset, Camden Crawl, 1234, Canada’s NXNE etc) followed by sold out UK, Europe & Japan tours and the release of a split 10” Let Me Bloom with Glasgow band Divorce.

This year, they’ve had a breeding program introducing an extra member on live drums. With Simon on guitar, Akiko is appearing on stage as just a singer, finally getting out of her drum chamber. So you are warned, be ready to be vandalised even more cruelly!!!

Currently Comanechi are in their gimp cellar writing a follow up to the debut LP, and with an EP release planned for the spring.
