Powered by Audioscrobbler™Reformed after an incredible 30 year hiatus, Basczax (pron: Bassax) were originally part of the British post-punk movement of the late 70s and early 80s. Influenced by art rock and glam and post punk bands generally, the band have a brand new album out : 'This Machine Rocks' on their own Morbius label. Available as a download only album, it can be found on cdbaby, amazon and itunes to name but a few.
The band amassed a fanatical following on their home turf of Teesside, U.K. They released two independent singles - 'Madison Fallout' and appeared on the Earcom 2 Fast record 12 inch alongside Joy Division.
The band still maintain their original post punk spirit with a strong outsider pop sensibility.
You can listen to their music on Last fm and also get free downloads of three special radio edit tracks on this site.
