Leisha Thomas is Alpha Maid, a guitarist, vocalist, and producer hailing from South East London. Her first solo release on the C.A.N.V.A.S. collective label, 2021's 'CHUCKLE', garnered significant critical attention. This is not your typical folk record - in it, there is plenty of room for Leisha's varied influences (lo-fi post-punk, noise, glitch) to cram themselves in, enriching her incisive delivery on human behavior and society. She is also a member of Le Guess Who? curator collective CURL, whose live performances she sometimes participates in.
