2 Hot 2 Sweat formed in early 2007 when Matt Leuw and Mia Lane decided to put the sometimes disturbing contents of their brains to music. We hope the results will make you snigger, cower and jig, not necessarily in that order.
The debut 2 Hot 2 Sweat single "Your Space Or Mine" was released in March 2008 on NROne Records, followed by "Half Assed Rom Com" - a dancefloor filler musing on the dismal dating scene in October 08. The latter coincided with the band's performance at BBC Merseyside as part of the BBC Electric Proms, at a tribute night celebrating the life of the legendary John Peel.
2008 was an ace year for the 'Sweat, winning support and airplay from Radio One's Huw Stephens, 6Music's Tom Robinson, XFM's John Kennedy and a host of DJs at the wonderful Dandelion Radio. They recorded a live interview and session for the Marc Riley radio show as part of the Electric Proms, been featured in Artrocker Magazine and played with a host of amazing bands including the Duke Spirit, Bearsuit, Rolo Tomassi, The Bobby McGees, Violet Violet, The Brownies, So So Modern, Pony Up!, Le Tetsuo, Golden Silvers, Arthur and Martha, Micachu & The Shapes, The Invisible, Django Django and Kids Love Lies.
In 2009, 2 Hot 2 Sweat released their third single "Karmarama" and follow this in early 2010 with the mini-album "rarararararaRA!". They played at the Latitude Festival, and recorded a session for Huw Stephen's BBC Radio One show.
