Dubster - December 2016
This month Steve and Brian provide you with a 3 hour music bonanza in celebration of ten years of broadcasting on Dandelion Radio. OK so there was a year or two where there were no shows and they only do a couple a year now at the most. Yeah, ... well their busy fellas right, ... I mean if you're not happy with their work rate, get in your own sheds and do the shows yourself! Honestly, you people ...
We'll have tracks from the likes of John Cale, 13th Floor Elevators, C Duncan, Andy Weatherall, Love and Lambchop. All lovingly curated by your two favourite gruffly spoken Fifers.
Here's to another 10 years of sporadic broadcasting!

Lee Adcock - December 2016
Ladies and gents, excuse me if I sound too giddy in these dark times. But now cannot be the time to dwell or lament; rather, while US politics is dissolving back into primordial ooze, we must sharpen our minds, refine our relations with others, and contribute to the world that we want to survive. I am not the ideal revolutionary, but I pledge to improve.
That said, I am giddy, because through music we can open those doors for each other. This show, for instance, features a whip-smart new rapper from Athens (Lingua Franca), the meditative debut from Hand Habits (Meg from Mega Bog!), TWO Welsh electronic artists (CaStLeS and R. Seiliog), and our favorite chicken drone soup from Japan, Broken Shoulder.
Lotsa champs have returned to fire fresh salvos - especially rabble-rousers Sleigh Bells and Ravioli Me Away, but also The Wharves and Fred Thomas. And be sure to prep your ears for the discombobulated architecture of master artisans Mica Levi and Oliver Coates, who will appear twice on this show to demonstrate two sides to their decahedral world.
This, with all the usual riff raff, should remind you and me and all of us that the world can still be weird, wonderful, and loud.
Plus, I'm proud to present a charming live set from Magana, Audio Antihero's newest balladeer. Consider this the closest I'll get to "holiday cheer" (even though that gig was back in June).

Mark Whitby - December 2016
There's an unusually high level of festive cheer and nostalgia in the show this month, perhaps due to sheer relief that this truly awful year is about to end. Although commemoration of the fortieth anniversary of the Festive Fifty is expanded upon more in the schedule, we still feature a Peel Back... section that pulls out a couple of tracks broadcast in session forty and thirty years ago that managed to squeeze into the following year's chart. There are also some tracks from a classic session from The Fall, all of which have some kind of association with the band's imperious FF form down the years.
This month's featured compilation is a selection of covers of a tune by The Cure which is no stranger to the Festive Fifty either and there are plenty of new releases from the likes of The Bellamys, Annie & The Station Orchestra, Papaye and Cavern of Anti-Matter to ensure things don't get too backward-looking.
The second half of the show then propels us headlong into a determined mood of seasonal cheers, where much loved Xmas tunes from yesteryear nuzzle up at the fireplace alongside newer releases from the likes of Kristin Hersh, Mi Mye and our good friends The Bordellos. All hopefully enough to show that 2016 kept churning out some fine new music right until the end even if it offered little else to celebrate in any other department.

Pete Jackson - December 2016
It's December, and there's festive music - but don't worry, all the Christmas tunes will be over within the first three minutes.
Thereafter, it is business as usual - if you count Hermetic Brotherhood Of Lux-Or, Brain Tentacles, Vuelveteloca or Violent Pacifists as in any way usual.
As well as these newcomers there's tunes from established stars Dementio13, Goat and The Lucid Dream, cuts from year-end compilations from labels such as Oddbox Records and Relapse Records, and some awesome sounds from Burkina Faso from when it was still Upper Volta.
If that's not merry, I don't know what is.

Rocker - December 2016
This month we bring you two fantastic debut sessions, from Birmingham's Church Of Elvis, and Bristol's Jonny Kinkaid & The Imaginary Nowhere Band, both recorded exclusively at Rocker's StAR Studio.
There are also new tracks from Pussy Riot; Emmy The Great; Hard Left; Suburban Homes; Piskie Sits; Vital Idles; Camp Shy; The Drain On The Balcony; The Wedding Present; The Bellamys; The Charlie Tipper Conspiracy and many more.
There's a brand new single from Allo Darlin' - Sadly it will be their last. Also a new track from the elusive Burial, as well as electronica from Petar Dundov; Agoria; and KiNK.
There's even a couple of Christmas records too - although traditionalists might find them a little, shall we say, non-festive ...

There are THREE shows from me this month.
For this one I have taken the Festive 50 as the inspiration. It is called "Roaring Forties" - 3 hours of tracks that made is into the Festive 50 but never above number 40. Includes tracks from Siouxsie & The Banshees, Spizz Energi, Propellerheads and Augustus Pablo along with many more.
My regular show has a round up of the year - both highs and lows.
