Powered by Audioscrobbler™Piskie Sits hail from Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Rather than riding the wave of the New-Yorkshire indie-pop scene, the boys crafted their own brand of alt-american-rock taking influence from such early luminaries as Pavement, Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins, plus latter day saints The National, The Strokes, Blur and many others.

The band have undergone line-up changes through the years until happening upon their current 6-man incarnation in mid 2009. The band continue to work on material new and old, rejuvenating old classics for new audiences as well as producing new work for the live music stalwarts who continue to follow these boys whatever the weather.

After gracing stages up and down the country, including appearances at national festivals the band are consistently working on getting their music out to as many people as possible, along the way they've walked the planks at Maida Vale Studios and had their music played by DJ's on national and independent radio stations alike.

The band spent time with Leeds independent label Wrath Records who released their debut LP, plus single 'What Is The Point?'. They are now releasing music through Wakefield independent label Louder Than Bombs, who've included them in several compilations plus the impending release of single 'Churp Churp' scheduled for late March this year. The band are also regulars at the LTB club and gig nights at Wakefield's premier live music venue Escobar.

The band are currently working on material for their follow up to their debut LP 'The Secret Sickliness' (2007, Wrath Records) and continue to work their way up and down the country plying their trade and gaining new fans where ever they go.
