Dubster - June 2016 This month Steve and Brian bring you another jamboree of new songs and a good dollop of older ones from their vast archives. There's tracks from Teleman, The End, Suuns, The Tribe, Kate Tempest and the Eccentronic Research Council. They would also like me to warn you that some of this months songs contain explicit lyrics. Yeah ... you see they think that makes them dead hard, putting in songs with swear words, ... that the kids will think they're cool. In reality, they're just a pair of sad old gits sitting in a shed, playing records like a pair of teenagers whilst drinking lukewarm shop brand lager. There's shelves need mending in the house, losers!!

Lee Adcock - June 2016 Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Radiohead poked their heads out for some fresh air, and the Stone Roses hacked out another football anthem. Pssh. I've been stuck in much greener pastures for the past month - err, or maybe greener chasms, like with GNOD's 18-minute opus. Nachthexen spit in piss yellow; Cate Le Bon and Popincourt frolic with ribbons of purple and pink; Bogus Pipeline mutters darkly in granite grey; DJ Marfox and Orchestra of Spheres unearth golden orbs that resonate with rhythm. If anything, perhaps BEAK> and Fenne exude green the most, albeit as faded charteause left too long in the sun. There's also laser red transmissions of fledgling electronica, prism rays in monochrome from the latest Associates reissue series, indigo signals from September Girls and Pale Dian, and studies in chrome from Andy Stott. Yeah...green is overrated, eh?

Mark Cunliffe - June 2016 Plenty lined up for you on this months show. Lola Demo is back with an album that has been both difficult and cathartic for her to make. There's bassline from Skepsis and some great African vibes from Stringboxes. There's some Punjabi sounds coming from the likes of Jagdeep Gill, Jagga Bhikhi and Bobby Layal while Otoboke Beaver give us some great Japanese vibes. Derby's new thing is Pet Crow and there's plenty of moombahton and trap to get your teeth into.

Mark Whitby - June 2016 This month marks ten years of Dandelion Radio so we feature three favourite tunes from that first schedule of June 2006 as well as a slightly extended Peel Back... section of the show in honour of the man without whom there simply would have been no Dandelion. There's also a fabulous featured compilation of sixties garage rock from Nigeria, Zambia and Zimbabwe. For the majority of the show, however, the emphasis is very much on the new. That includes a fantastic session from Firedogs, something from the new Schemawound album and a couple of great Blue Tapes releases from Unfollow and Quasiviri. A number of former session guests pop in with new releases. Among them are The Bordellos, Low Low Low La La La Love Love Love and the keenly awaited new collection from Lee Negin, while Pulco and Ian Thistlethwaite both present their contributions to a compilation of Gorky's Zygotic Mynci songs. There are some more covers too: Hinds try their hand at Dylan while Leche take on Woody Guthrie and Real Regular desecrate an old Temptations tune. Meanwhile, among the originals are two releases that I think deserve to be considered among the very best of 2016 so far - courtesy of Staraya Derevnya and Bogus Pipeline.

Rocker - June 2016 Back up to three hours this month, and a show that's packed with new music, including a featured album from the excellent Emotional Response record label, of Flagstaff, Arizona. There's also new tracks from T.O.Y.S; Tacocat; Muddy Summers & The Dirty Field Whores; The Spook School; Jessica & The Fletchers; Milky Wimpshake; Dusty Cut; Towel; Hard Left; Beau; Fur Blend; The Burning Hell; Mercury Girls; and Manon Meurt. There's electronica from Termoment; Elekfantz; Michael Mayer & Kolsch; and French remixer Voiski gets his hands on Underworld. Meanwhile Amanda Palmer takes on David Bowie with a string quartet; The Phoenix City All-stars give a ska spin to a Dexy's Midnight Runners classic; and Personal Best give Tiger Trap a seeing to. This month's Peel's Big 45 track is from John's favourite record, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record was released to very little acclaim in New York in 1967. Luckily we can now appreciate yet another soul treasure that was ignored first time around. As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Plume Of Feathers are named after a centuries old pub in Bristol, which has sadly now been sold and converted into flats. Rocker once DJd there.

Sean Hocking - June 2016 Ring of Fire starts off with our usual 'we hate a politician' song! This time we've got good old Jello Biafra teaming up with Napalm Death to resurrect a song that some oldie punks will recognize. We got a couple of tunes from the forthcoming LP debut by Portland's very own Honeybucket due in the fall. If you are in the states keep an eye open for their jaunt around the country. What else; some west Australians in the form of Jeff's Dead & Gravy Murphy yet again illustrating what a great diversity of music they have over there at the end of the world. I'm loving The Clean's version of I Can't Stand It at the moment - and last but not least Ring of Fire celebrates a decade of Dandelion by playing some underground China tunes from back in the day when Metal Postcard was releasing new China music before it became hip and all started to sound the same.
