Like his songs, Jeff’s career has moved in surprising directions. He first took Perth’s stages over ten years ago and immediately the spotlights turned towards him, blown away by his bold and eccentric performance style, incisive lyrics, classic tunes and his uniquely expressive voice. His debut record was meant to make him an overnight success but progress was slow and by the time it was complete, the prolific Jeff had moved on with a new sound and swag of songs set to go. Johnny Cash’s bold songwriting and big guitar hooks struck a chord and in 2007 Jeff traded the studio for an 8-track, grabbed some talented mates and recorded his ‘city & western’ debut in a suburban lounge room.
