Powered by Audioscrobbler™Zann is a chaotic hardcore punk band from Leipzig/Berlin/Jena (DE) founded in 1999. They sprang out of the late 90s hardcore scene in eastern Germany. The lineup for their first show was Robert(voc), Mark(drm), Uwe(bas), Ronny(git). John(git) joined after their second show at the Zoro in Leipzig.

The music is influenced by bands like Chokehold, Unbroken, Born Against, Gehenna, Swing Kids, Rites of Spring and many more.

The first mini-tours came in 2001 with a couple of shows through Germany. In summer of 2001 they invited Iceburn for an tour across Europe. More touring happened in 2002 including Scandinavia, France, Netherlands. The first US tour came in 2003 together with Blame Game. Followed by another US tour in 2004 with Takaru. In 2005 Birushanah invited them to play Japan. Some more touring in Europe followed before they headed back to the US for the third time in 2006. Just in 2007 they returned to Japan to tour with Funeral Diner und Birushanah.

Zann have recorded a full-length and tons of split releases with Funeral Diner, Blame Game, Racebannon, The 244GL etc.
