Yoofee

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Being raised in a small town near Berlin and as the son of a jazz DJ, Yoofee was surrounded by jazz, soul & funk. The record collection of his parents and his African roots influenced him from an early age.

At four years he was playing the piano, not long after he started performing his feats as a solo pianist. Via different master classes he came in contact with international jazz greats, who inspired and taught him. Since the age of ten he has been composing, at thirteen he founded his first band and started playing concerts.

Through his friends Moses was later on introduced to electronic styles (mostly UK driven) such as Drumnbass, UKGarage, Dubstep, House and Broken Beat. In numerous live performances, always rather unplugged or on underground club stages, he experimented with selected musicians – formations of the music world. The past five years his patience for different genres has solidified, which in turn have formed various pillars.

Today he is studying at the Jazz Universitiy in Berlin, touring with Footprint Project, Wanubalè, Jembaa Groove and with his trio. Producing for and with a great variety of artists, Yoofee is always looking for new influences in different styles to create music.
