Band #2:

Y? get together on March 2005 to start their course in music. Gathered by numerous influences, the band members, total strangers until then, joined in an Alternative Hard Rock sound. Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses & Korn, among others, are some of the major inspirations they have in common. The songs talk about everything, but mainly focus on relationships, not strictly love but in general. The band’s logo is filled with images and meanings. It’s an answer and a question to the band’s name. Y? wants to give people something to think about, something to identify themselves with.
Less than a year and a half later, more than ten original songs and a good round of concerts played, the band decided to enter studio to record what would be, their first Promo CD. Produced by Luís and Paulos Barros - from Metal band Taratula - at the Rec N’ Roll Studios on July 2006, this Promo CD self entitled “ Y? “ was recorded in 20 hours, and shows two original songs: Glad It’s Over & Stop It!
Y? have played all clubs in their Hometown and are now planning to go through their country. But their main goal is to release a Long Play next year.
Heard outside Portugal, the critics have been positive and the band’s struggling to reach the biggest amount of people they can.
With two new members brought to their ground, the sound is getting richer and stronger.
Hugo (drums) and Andre (guitar) are the new and fresh blood.
