Richard and Vom first met in the 80’s when they both played for the British chart topping act Doctor and the Medics appearing together on two albums and numerous singles, one of which, Spirit in the Sky making it to the number #1 spot in many countries.
Both eventually left the band and Richard joined the Acid Jazz Band Corduroy who successfully recorded and toured worldwide.
Vom went on to play in a variety of bands including The Boys, TV Smith and Ian Hunter before joining German punk legends Die Toten Hosen in 1999.
Anna joined Vom and Mary Ritchie’s rock group B-Bang Cider in the early 90’s, then appeared in other bands including Damo Suzuki from CAN and German indie stars Fehlfarben.
She was currently lodging in Vom’s house when Richard came over on a visit. With the puzzle complete, they formed WET DOG named after the smell in Mr Ritchie’s damp car…
They recorded their debut album Perfect Crime in the band’s own Wet Dog Studio.

“Heart” is the first single from the album and will be released August 10th.
The band recently finished filming and editing the video to “Heart”. Vom was in hospital having his appendix removed but sneaked out of the hospital to film his scenes. He left a note stuck to his bed saying "back in 3 hours". He returned 6 hours later in full make up and stage clothes.
