Richard and Vom first met in the 80’s when they both played for the British chart topping act Doctor and the Medics appearing together on two albums and numerous singles, one of which, Spirit in the Sky making it to the number #1 spot in many countries.

Both eventually left the band and Richard joined the Acid Jazz Band Corduroy who successfully recorded and toured worldwide.

Anna joined Vom and Mary Ritchie’s rock group B-Bang Cider in the early 90’s, then appeared in other bands including Damo Suzuki from CAN and German indie stars Fehlfarben.

She was currently lodging in Vom’s house when Richard came over on a visit. With the puzzle complete, they formed WET DOG named after the smell in Mr Ritchie’s damp car…
