Powered by Audioscrobbler™VAZZ were from Glasgow , Scotland and existed in the mid-1980's . They released 3 singles (2 on 12" and 1 on 7") and also a mini-album entitled 'Your Lungs And Your Tongues' . The group consisted of Hugh Small (all music and instruments) and Anna Howson (all voices and lyrics) and were featured on the late, great John Peel show on BBC Radio One a few times .

A six track vinyl pressing of 1982 demos titled 'Whisper Not' was released by the 'Forced Nostalgia' label (Cat No - FN004) in January 2012 . 'Whisper Not' was previously released as a cassette-only limited edition of 100 (Cat No - CRV7404).

A 16 track CD anthology titled 'Chronoillogical (Glasgow Recordings 1982 - 1987)' was released by the 'Forced Nostalgia' label in July 2013 (Cat No - FN010CD).

In November 2014 the track 'Cast Reflections' appeared on Fabriclive 78 ; a Fabric Records compilation CD compiled by Illum Sphere -

In September 2017, STROOM released a vinyl LP titled 'Submerged Vessels & Other Stories' featuring some previously unreleased Vazz tracks as well as instrumentals from 2014 - 2016. Order direct from STROOM -

In November 2017, Forced Nostalgia re-issued the 'Chronoillogical (Glasgow Recordings 1982 - 1987)' CD as a limited edition double CD which also featured Hugh Small's 'Piano Music (2014 - 2016)' CD which initially came with the STROOM LP 'Submerged Vessels & Other Stories'. This release was limited to 123 individually numbered copies and is available from the Forced Nostalgia Bandcamp site -

At the beginning of 2018, an instrumental collection called 'Boutique Music (Edinburgh Recordings 2010 - 2017)' was released as a digital-only LP available at -

In September 2019, the follow up LP to 'Submerged Vessels & Other Stories' was released by STROOM. 'Cloud Over Maroma' (STRLP030) featured five tracks from the 'Whisper Not' demos, the band's first single 'Breath' and 2018 instrumentals plus piano pieces.

In 2020, four digital-only collections of previously unreleased tracks were released on Bandcamp. 'Related Objects' LP, 'Viridians' mini-LP, 'Introversa' EP and 'Mas Mezquitas' EP.

In 2021, three digital EPs, 'An Eye For A Tooth' , 'Movement Into Sunlight' and 'Rosario' were made available via the Vazz Bandcamp page as well as the collection 'Mezquita Music (Andalucia Recordings 2018 - 2021).

2022 saw the release of the digital-only EPs 'Anatomy Of Abstract'. 'Translucent Zone' and ''Under The Radar' via Bandcamp. Toronto label Imaginary North also released a digital collection called Ghostwritten (Instrumentals 2018 -2022).
