The Syn

The Syn
Image from Discogs
Powered by Audioscrobbler™The original The Syn lasted from 1965 to1967 and are notable for including both Chris Squire and Peter Banks (both later of prog rock's Yes).

The Syn reunited in 2004 based around lead singer/songwriter Steve Nardelli and guitarist Peter Banks. Banks left the band, but bassist Chris Squire rejoined. Their first full studio album, Syndestructible (Umbrello) was released in 2005. Squire left the band in 2006. He currently plays with Yes.

Steve Nardelli put together a new core lineup for 2008-9 that featured Francis Dunnery (x-It Bites), and Tom Brislin (Spiraling; stood in for Rick Wakeman on Yes Symphonic tour/dvd). This line-up released Big Sky (Umbrello Records) in April 2009, although a US tour was canceled after 6 dates.

Dunnery and Brislin left The Syn shortly after the US tour was cancelled.
