The Happy Somethings

Powered by Audioscrobbler™The Happy Somethings are an indie trio from the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire region of England, characterized by a deliberately raw, retro-inspired style and plenty of British humor. They came together in 2016 with their first album release - Playing With Dolls - (2018). The Happy Somethings consciously cultivate the "do it yourself" (DIY) principle. By recording and releasing their music themselves, forgoing major labels, offering their albums via platforms like Bandcamp, and stylistically differentiating themselves from slickly produced mainstream acts. Their music is a mix of indie pop, jangle pop, and British humor - often with a wink and a touch of self-deprecation.
The members of the Happy Somethings are a bit of a mystery - in keeping with their "unintentionally retro" philosophy. The band consists of three people with charming pseudonyms:

Happy Feliz (lead vocals & keyboards)
Jolly (guitar & bass)
Joy Feliz (drums, percussion & background vocals)
