Powered by Audioscrobbler™The Bombay Royale is an 11-piece Australian band fronted by singers Parvyn Kaur Singh (The Lady) and Shourov Bhattacharya (The Tiger), singing in Hindi, Bengali and other languages. The band performs original music that blends funk, disco and pop music with the classical and folk music of India, much like the soundtracks of 1960s and 1970s Bollywood movies. The band was conceived by musical director Andy Williamson (The Skipper), who also plays saxophone and flute.

The Bombay Royale have travelled far from their home in the suburban wilds of Melbourne and taken their unique sound to audiences in Europe, UK and the USA where their performances have been met with critical acclaim.

The Bombay Royale’s debut album You Me Bullets Love was released in 2012. This was followed by The Island of Doctor Electrico (2014) and Run Kitty Run (2017).
