The Anti-Queens is a Rock/Pop Punk/Grunge/Acoustic band formed in Toronto, Canada in 2008. The lineup consisted of Emily Bones, Lindsay Bird and Mary Deth.

The Anti-Queens, who were formerly named "Mittenz" are a trio of female powerhouse musicians reigning from Toronto, Ontario (Canada). They have been collectively paving their way in the competitive Toronto music scene for nearly 4 years. With singer/guitarist Emily Bones, Mary Deth on bass/vocals and drummer Lindsay Bird, The Anti-Queens have managed to fuse 90's grungy rock in with a more modern punk tinge. Put it this way; The Runaways who grew up into Veruca Salt, who then became a little more pissed off and morphed into The Distillers.

The Anti-Queens put on an explosively energetic set which in turn will have their catchy songs engraved into your brain for the rest of the night.

Throughout their career as a band, they have participated in many types of events from outdoor festivals to fundraisers and album release parties. Among the many concerts the Anti-Queens have put on, there are a few that really stand out from the list.

This past summer alone (July 2012), they performed at PRIDE Toronto not only once, but twice that weekend, alongside Die Mannequin & Vag Halen at the Alternaqueer stage, and the following day at the Fruitloopz stage. They performed at the main stage in Collingwood, for Blue Mountain's "Peak To Shore Festival", alongside Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo. They also performed for the second year in a row for NXNE at The Velvet Underground.
