TSR

TSRData provided by DiscogsTSR are a trio of Swedish musical mentalists made up of Tomas Nordstrom, Fredrik Askebris and Robert Sundelin. This crazed technologically berserk band of electronic wizards under Otto’s command relentlessly conjure up thee most brilliant, silliest, toughest, most dance bootable funky shizzle on this train of existence.

They grew up in the 80’s surrounded by computers with their Commodore 64’s getting them instantly hooked on electronic music, inserting game cassettes into the tape deck just to listen to the loading tunes, and persevering to complete really difficult games worth struggling through just to hear the next great tune. They even recorded endless hours of mix tapes exclusively made with amazing sid-tracks. So many games gave them such inspiration and direction of good quality music.

Then the Amiga came along with a whole new techno and synth music scene exploding around it. Amiga’s had Protracker which made it possible to explore and edit samples to make music, this was the beginning, after many previous aliases, of TSR (Terror Shit Records).

Their “tiny tiny little label from Sweden” eventually launched in 2007 after talking about releasing material for five years. Eventually their first release by Naks made an appearance with accomplishment score level 100 achieved.

Although gaming music played its part, it was Neil Landstrumm’s ‘Brown by August’ LP with its raw attitude and energy that was the catalyst which gave them the guidance to start making techno. Now anything can inspire them from watching a movie to listening to bossa nova music.

Creation doesn’t come as easily as it once done as they’re becoming increasingly more self-critical as time progresses. But once they get the flow there’s no stopping them, and that buzz they got way back in the 80’s with their Commodore 64 computers comes flooding back.

They’ve played all over the world with Don’t in London being their best experience to date with such an awesome crowd to cheer them on.

2017 seen them launch their new label Jack Trax On Wax with Joseph Garber which came about from fooling around with Joseph on various machines whilst eating cinnamon buns teeheeeeeeeeeeee.

With plenty honkin’ material materialising on their labels and RIOTous silliness most certainly afoot on our label, this trio of terror shitters are gonna terrorize your dancin’ boots to funky town and back.
