There were only 2 Indonesian Rock Bands that ever took so many influence in 1970s Indonesian rock scene, they were Giant Step and Superkid. Superkid (or Super Kid) was from Bandung the city that to date is ever known as the city of rock. Superkid was formed in that year to compete with the other rock group in Surabaya town.

Deddy Stanzah and Jelly Tobing, two members of this group, have given so many influences to Indonesian rock music.
