Stick In The Wheel is an English folk band based in London and headed by Ian Carter and Nicola Kearey, with Fran Foote on harmonies, Si Foote on percussion and Ellie Wilson on fiddle.

Their tunes feature an arresting unpolished sound, marking out the band as something really different to a lot of other acts. Recording in a kitchen above a tube station, while putting its own twist on four hundred year old songs, has really given the band's music an authentic east end sound.
