Artist Info

Salacious Wizard Cult

Powered by Audioscrobbler™The ‘Cult’ has been in the Central Valley music scene for what seems like ancient history. Since 2011, every show they come out of hiding for is completely different. You might catch them playing a party, making a room full of valley kids dance to some occult tunes. Next week you could be crying in the audience at one of their slowed-down sad fest. They’ve been described as ‘electro sad jazz’ but they have never confined to just one genre. The members of this project are elusive, but their music is hypnotizing. After a couple years of perfecting a mind control device, they released their enigmatic album ‘CURA’ in the late summer of 2016. Many new followers came to accept the album into hearts. During the Summer of 2017, they managed to survive a 50 day tour opening for the band Dandelion Massacre (Folk-Punk’s most punk of the folk!). The tour stretched from California to the lovely Southern hospitality, up that classic east coast and back across the great Northern states. The band is still gaining new followers.

SWC is currently recording new material in Oakland, CA.
