Safe Mind is Augustus Muller and Cooper B. Handy.

Muller is one half of the widely popular electronic duo Boy Harsher a cornerstone to the contemporary goth and wave scene. Handy is an underground sensation known for his left field approach to beat making and the unwavering sincerity to his vocals. He has been building his name for the last decade through his various recording projects (The Taxidermist, Club Casualties) and his solo persona LUCY.

In 2020 Muller approached Handy about working on a track for Boy Harsher's 'The Runner (Original Soundtrack)’ . The result was the instant classic "Autonomy" an upbeat anthem and a real standout out on the soundtrack. Handy and Muller took note of their chemistry and continued to casually work on music over the next few years.

Handy and Muller found their different styles complemented each other in a powerful way. Handy's outsider approach was a perfect companion to Muller's neurotic attention to detail and years of producing experience. However where the duo saw eye to eye was an emphasis on sincerity. As the tracks started to accumulate they acknowledged a certain honesty and innocence in the songs. They decided to lean into it.
