Roberto Musci is a musician and ethnomusicologist born in Milan, Italy in 1956.
From 1974 to 1985 he traveled around the world to study African, Indian, Near Eastern and Far Eastern music, collecting a myriad of ethnic musical instruments.
In the 1980s and '90s Musci broadcasted ethnic, electronic and experimental music from radio stations (Rai, Radio Popolare), composed and played music for videos and commercial spots, dance, live soundtracks for silent movie, poems and theater.
Roberto Musci played and collaborated with many Italian and European musicians, including Giovanni Venosta, Claudio Gabbiani, Walter Prati, Giorgio Magnanensi, Massimo Cavallaro, Massimo Mariani, Moni Ovadia, Chris Cutler, Jon Rose, David Moss, Steve Piccolo, Elliott Sharp and Keith Tippett.
