Powered by Audioscrobbler™Philip Sanderson first began releasing music in the late 1970s under a variety of band names and pseudonyms including: Storm Bugs (a project which often involved collaboration with Steven Ball), Vote Police, Ice Yacht and, Claire Thomas & Susan Vezey.

During this period Philip also ran Snatch Tapes on of the first DIY Cassette labels. Snatch Tapes released tracks by David Jackman (later of Organum), The Lemon Kittens, the Beach Surgeons (led by a young Graham Massey, later of 808 State), Alien Brains, Claire Thomas & Susan Vezey and of course Storm Bugs. Many of the original Storm Bugs recordings have now been re-issued on CD and LP as has the Claire Thomas & Susan Vezey Reprint tape and Terrain, a collaborative track recorded with David Jackamn.

More recently new recordings by Philip Sanderson have also been released such as Seal Pool Sounds, Through a Telephone Box Darkly, Carriage Return and in 2012 the LP Hollow Gravity on the Puer Gravy label.

A long interview with Philip Sanderson was published in the 2007 issue of Sound Projector magazine exploring circuit bending, DIY recording, the cassette scene and much else.
