Personal Trainer

Powered by Audioscrobbler™Personal Trainer is an indie rock band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, fronted by Willem Smit, who also fronted Canshaker Pi, plays the guitar in Steve French and is an omnipresent force in the Amsterdam indie scene.

Personal Trainer started out as a somewhat experimental side project of Canshaker Pi. It was Smit's constantly evolving garage rock collective, in which musicians came and went. They released a steady stream of stand-alone songs, singles and EPs since 2016, most of them somewhat under the radar, initially.

By 2022, with Canshaker Pi on 'indefinite hiatus', Personal Trainer's line-up stabilized. This seven-piece formation released 2022's full-length début, Big Love Blanket. Personal Trainer's musical output will certainly not disappoint lovers of bands such as Protomartyr, Pavement and Scram C Baby.
