Jenny Newburry, Blackmore Vale Magazine.

memotone has been producing music on his own for the last three years but has been playing since he can remember. He plays a selection of instruments but mainly the Guitar, Piano, Bass and Drums and all the childish instruments he picks up from charity shops and Early Learning Centres. But during the last few years he has picked up a selection of other instruments including Trumpet, Violin, Cello, Clarinet, Accordion, Melodica and Singing Bowls. He uses an MPC 1000 a Kaoss pad three and a Boss RC-50 for live looping when he is performing live sets. Building up large soundscapes with his instruments and field recordings. His music is a beautiful twist of electronic and acoustic sounds glued together by experimental drums and incidental noises.
