Machine Girl is an electronic producer from Brooklyn, NY. Their discography consists of several EPs, compilations, and LPs, including the underground hit WLFGRL, which was released in February 2014 through London’s Dred Collective.
More recently, their sound has morphed from a straightforward hardcore breaks style to a more aggressive digital hardcore-influenced ones with records such as ...BECAUSE I'M YOUNG ARROGANT AND HATE EVERYTHING YOU STAND FOR, The Ugly Art, and U-Void Synthesizer. The project is named after the 2008 Japanese film The Machine Girl.
Machine Girl composed their first video game soundtrack for the game Neon White, a movement shooter about a contest for a single sinner to be able to stay in heaven for a year. For Neon White, they composed two albums worth of music including Neon White Soundtrack Part 1 "The Wicked Heart" and Neon White Soundtrack Part 2 "the Burn That Cures". The 1st part consists of music that plays while you are playing the levels, and the 2nd part consists of music that is used during dialog, the main menu, and other non-battle scenes.
2) Machine Girl is also the name of a hardcore/IDM project between Line 47 (Scott Weber) and Enduser (Lynn Standafer). The duo has released 2 EPs to date; Split (2003) and Untitled (2008).
